  • Below is the breakdown of how each sorting category is used, and where to view them in Clio Grow.

Contact Settings:

  • Lead Sources:
    • Used- To find which Contacts came through which marketing effort. This is also used in Reports to find which marketing efforts provide the best ROI. (You will want to attach a "value" to the Contacts Matter for even better reporting). This can also be used with the filter in the main Contact Tab
    • View- Within the main Contact tab, and the Contact card under "type".
  • Contact Types:
    • Used- This field is used to define who the contact is to the firm (Ex. Lead, Client, Did not hire). This can also be used to help track what type of people go to the firm for assistance (Police Officer, Plummer, Retail Worker). The field can be used with the filter in the main Contact Tab.
    • View- Within the main Contact tab, and the Contact card under "type".
  • Tags:
    • Used- Sort and filter your contacts by custom parameters. It is the only field that you can colour code. This can also be used with the filter in the main Contact Tab.
    • Found- Within the main Contact tab, and the Contact card under "type"

Matter Settings:

  • Matter Types:
    • Used- Typically used to keep track of the practice area. Can also be used to keep track of what stage they are in the intake process. This field is used in the Reports section.
    • Found-On the main Matter's tab, and within the Matter at the top of the "Matter details".
  • Matter Statuses:
    • Used- Keep track of where potential clients are within the intake process. Can also be used to show which practice area they have been hired to. Clio Grow only allows you to add matter statuses to the three main tabs, "Intake", "hired", "did not hire". Other main tabs cannot be created at this time.
    • Found- The fields can be viewed within the Pipeline, main Matter tab, and the "status" section of the Matter.
  • Location:
    • Used- Keeps track of where the Matter is located, or to which office it is taking place.
    • Found- Within the Matter.
