Question:

  • What are the differences between Detailed and Simple Report Detail Level in Quickbooks Export Options?
  • Exported Expenses from Clio to Quickbooks Desktop are being imported as one lump sum

Environment:

  • Clio Manage
  • Quickbooks Desktop

Additional Information:

  • If you do not collect taxes, a Detailed report will still include tax entries at $0, however, a Simple report will not include the tax entries

Answer:

When it is set to Detailed, the export will include all of your line items.

When it is set to Simple, your line items will be aggregated to a single line entry by type.
