Issue: Trial Account Not Sending Emails


Accounts in trial state have been temporarily restricted from sending emails while we make improvements to the trial experience. This means that any functionality within Clio that uses email (including sharing a document, sending a bill, etc.) is not sending those email notifications. You will still be able to reset your account password.

  • Notifying that a task that has been assigned by email 
  • Sending reminder emails for tasks


  • Sending bills for approval
  • Sending bills to their respective clients via Email or Clio Connect
  • Send email previews of bills to users

No workaround is available at this time. However we will be restoring the ability to email from a trial account as soon as possible. In the meantime, we’d be happy to provide private demos to anyone wanting to see the full functionality of Clio.
