Can I Update a Custom Field Through Zapier If the Custom Field Is Not in the Matter Yet?

Question:

  • Can I update a custom field through Zapier if the custom field is not in the matter yet?
  • My Zap is supposed to add a Custom Field to my Matter, why isn't it doing that?

Environment:

  • Zapier
  • Clio Manage

Additional Information:

  • n/a

Answer:

The existing Custom Field needs to be in the Matter first before the Zap is able to update the custom field. It will not add that Custom Field to that Matter.
