Why Is My Users Information Not Syncing Over to QuickBooks Online?

Objective:

  • To determine why Firm Users in Clio are not syncing over to QBO 

Environment:

  • QuickBooks Online

Additional Information:

  • n/a

Cause:

This could be caused by the incorrect Class Settings in QuickBooks Online

Procedure:

In QuickBooks Online:

  1. Settings (Gear Icon)
  2. Account and Settings
  3. Advanced
  4. Click on the "Categories" section
  5. Make sure Track Classes is turned on (it should be)
  6. The "Assign classes" setting should be "One to each row in transaction"
  7. Save Settings and wait for the next Bill Sync - this should bring over User information into the Classes
