- If Clio Payments transactions are visible in the Bank Feed of QBO, will the payment transaction in Clio and the Bank feed transaction result in a duplicate?
- Does the QuickBooks Online Sync result in duplicate payment transactions when payments are accepted through LawPay?
- If a firm has QBO Sync active and the Bank Feed turned on, when they receive payments via LawPay or Clio Payments, will these payments be duplicated in QBO?
- Clio Manage
- Clio Payments
- QuickBooks Online
No, they will not be duplicated.
Transactions from the QuickBooks Bank Feed will not automatically add to the firm's general ledger in QuickBooks Online. Users will have the option to either match with their existing records or manually add them (see how in QuickBook's Help Center).
If you do see duplicate transactions in your QuickBooks Online account as a result of the sync, there is likely a different root cause. Please contact our 24/5 support team for assistance with troubleshooting sync issues.
For example, Clio Payment transaction are synced to QuickBooks Online individually, but the payout transaction they see from the bank feed typically represents a batch of individual payment transactions for the past 24-48 hours. You can match the payout transaction from the Bank Feed to the individual Clio Payment transactions in QuickBooks Online.
Please note the Bank Feed is a feature in QuickBooks Online. For questions related to the Bank Feed please reach out to QuickBooks' support team directly.
