Clio Subscription vs Clio for Co-Counsel / Clio Connect Collaboration

Let's looks at some of the differences between Clio and Clio for Co-Counsel / Clio Connect. 


Clio subscriptions are part of a firm account for the purpose of practice management and billing. Users are able to create new tasks, calendar events, notes, documents, bills, as well as generate reports, add time entries, and view ALL resources that they have permissions to access in addition to the core data and matter management features.

Clio for Co-Counsel / Clio Connect

Firms who want to work more closely with their clients, contacts (witness, judge, etc), and co-counsels, can do so by sharing resources via Clio for Co-Counsel / Clio Connect. When sharing a resource such as a document, bill, or matter, the firm is in complete control of that resource and can remove sharing permissions at any time. Actions on these shared resources are limited, and can be compared to those actions available via a Clio account below.
