In Clio you can apply a primary, and optionally, a secondary tax to your invoices. Once generated you will see the tax amount noted and added to the total of the invoice:
Once your bills are synced to Xero, you will see the same tax notation as a total tax amount:
To see a tax report for this client in Clio, generate a client-specific Revenue Report:
In Xero you can see the sales tax in the Sales Tax Audit Report. Go to Reports > All Reports > Sales Tax Report > Sales Tax Audit Report.
If you would like to edit your invoice to have tax on specific line items only, as opposed to the total of the invoice, simply 'Edit' the Bill in Clio and check or uncheck the boxes under Tax accordingly. Click HERE for more information.
