Docket Alarm

Docket Alarm's search platform allows you to perform full text searches on dockets and documents across Federal Courts, Appellate Courts, the Supreme Court, Bankruptcy Courts, the ITC, and the PTAB - over 20 million documents and counting.

Docket Alarm's alert system will automatically notify you of new litigation activity and sync PDF filings with your Clio Matters so that you won't have to manually check the court docket. 

Docket Alarm’s analytics reveal hidden judicial trends by showing which parties and firms are the most active in court, which judges grant the most requests, and provides a birds-eye-view of litigation by company, law firm, or industry.

Connecting Docket Alarm to Clio

Once you have created a Docket Alarm account, login then go to: www.docketalarm.com/clio and click the "Link Your Clio Account" button. 

If you are not already logged into Clio, you will be prompted to do so, then confirm the connection.

Once you have authorized the connection, you will be redirected to the "How it Works" page with a few tips on getting started working with the Docket Alarm + Clio integration. 

Using Docket Alarm with Clio

When you start tracking a search in Docket Alarm, you will be provided with a "Client Billing Number" field. Start typing the name or number of a Matter in Clio into that field. This will bring up a list of matching Clio Matters as you type. Click on the appropriate Matter from the list to select it. 

All of your filings will be automatically synchronized to your Clio Documents, linked to the appropriate Matter. You will also receive a Microsoft Excel report summarizing all of the docket filings.
