Accounts Receivable Aging Report

Clio's Accounts Receivable Aging Report is designed to help firms track unpaid bills. The report divides overdue accounts receivable into aging categories. This enables you to get paid faster by efficiently following up with clients whose bills are overdue.

To generate the Report, first click on the Reports tab at the upper right of your page in the black ribbon. Then, scroll to the Billing Reports section of Reports, and select Accounts Receivable Aging.

Report Options

Within the Report Options page you have several settings you can choose from to get the information you require on your report:

  1. Report type: Choose if you want to generate a report broken down by client, originating attorney, or responsible attorney. You can also generate the report for a specific group of Matters, Clients, responsible attorneys, or originating attorneys using the "Choose a specific:" dropdown menu.
  2. Report options: Choose if you want to include columns on the report for the Bill, originating attorney, or responsible attorney.
  3. Output Format: You can generate this report in PDF, .CSV, or Web version. The PDF and .CSV are downloadable files, whereas the Web version will only display in your browser. The advantage of a Web format is that it will include hyperlinks to the source of the records on your report.

Does this report include Bills in Draft?

No. The Accounts Receivable Aging Report includes only approved bills.

What does "Current" mean?

The "Current" column heading includes Matters or Invoices which don't have any overdue accounts receivable.

What if I only want to manipulate the data in this Report?

When generating a Report in a .CSV format you can have additional options for manipulation such as sorting, or removing certain columns or rows. For more information on manipulating .CSV, please click here.
