Connecting FactBox to Clio

Once you have signed up for a FactBox account, go to the "My Firm" tab of the User Profile page. Scroll down to the "Integrations" section where you will see the Clio option. Click on the "Connect" button.

When prompted, click on the green "Yes, Let's Connect" button.
* If you are not already logged in to your Clio account, you will be prompted to log in before you can authorize the connection.

Each user of your Clio account will have to connect FactBox to Clio individually in order to record personalize data including timer data.

Using FactBox with Clio

Working with Clio Matters in FactBox

FactBox automatically syncs with Clio Matters in three important ways:

  1. All Matters in Clio become Cases in FactBox with the same names and numbers.
  2. All users in a Group associated with a Clio Matter become Contributors on the Case in FactBox.
  3. Any Contacts in the Matter will become People sources – including their responsibility/role and contact information.

FactBox frequently checks Clio for updates. If you want to push a sync to happen, click on the "Sync Clio Matters" button in the "All Cases" tab.

Using the Clio Timer in FactBox

With the Clio integration, opening and working on a Case in FactBox will automatically start a timer for that user and Matter in Clio. When you close the Case, the timer automatically stops for that Matter in Clio. When you move to another Case in FactBox, the Clio timer will stop for the previous Matter and start for the new Matter.

The timer will not appear on FactBox, you will see it recording time for the correct matter automatically in your Clio account.

Toggling Between FactBox and Clio

You can access your Clio Matters while in FactBox by clicking the "Open in Clio" button at the top right of the screen. This will open the corresponding Matter in Clio in a new browser tab.
