Why is My Firm's Email Address Showing Up Twice on Bills?

Objective:

  • Remove duplicated Firm Email Address
  • Get rid of extra email address showing on invoices
  • Firms email appearing twice on the Bill Themes 
  • Firm address duplicates on invoice
  • Firm phone number shows up double

Environment:

  • Clio Manage 

Additional Information:

  • The Firm Information pulled onto Bills comes from the details entered in Account Information 
  • If you see a green Save button at the top-right of the Edit Bill Theme page, click on it to save your changes. If the button is not visible, this means that the changes have already been saved automatically.

Answer:

This generally occurs if the email address has been entered in your Account Information and also in the Localizations area of Bill Themes. To remove: 

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Select Billing
  3. Select Bill Themes
  4. Click on the relevant theme (likely the one marked as "Default")
  5. On the Edit Bill Theme page, select Localizations Firm Information
  6. Remove the email address from the "Email:" field, leaving the "Email:" text intact
