As Reports can be created for a specific Practice Area (or filtered by this factor in CSV format), the suggested workaround is to create separate, location-specific Practice Areas.
For example, if you had an office in New York and one in Washington D.C., you could have Practice Areas set up for Family Law-NY, Family Law-DC, Civil Litigation-NY, Civil Litigation-DC, etc. Each Matter would need to have a location-specific Practice Area assigned to it.
