What's the Difference between a Calendar Sync and a Calendar Feed?

Objective:

  • What is the difference between a Calendar Sync and Feed?

Environment:

  • Clio Manage

Additional Information:

n/a

Answer:

A calendar sync is bi-directional which means you can add events in Clio and the event will appear in the other application, and vice versa. Sync can be set up with Office 365 and Google Calendars

In comparison, a Calendar feed is a one-way push of the events on your calendar to the other calendar application. The information in Clio will be reflected in the other application, but any events added outside of Clio will not populate in the Clio Calendar. Clio offers feeds in the iCal format which works with Google, Outlook, Apple Calendar, Yahoo
