  • Warning: DO NOT select the two checkboxes on the left-hand side, as this option will update all your Matters. This action is irreversible.
  • If you are unsure about performing such an action. Please call Support for real-time assistance 1-888-858-2546 x2
  • If you would like to update the Matter name and a Matter Number for a single Matter, please click here for instructions

Procedure:

  1. Click on Settings
  2. Select Firm Preferences
  3. Ensure you are on the Matter Numbering tab (if you do not see this tab, that means that you do not have Admin permissions and need to have your permissions changed or have the Admin edit Matter numbering)
  4. Please take note of the current Matter title sequence. The recommendation is to take a screenshot of the current page.
  5. Select the Manual for each Matter template from the drop-down on the left Select Template field
  6. Click Update Settings in the lower right-hand corner. DO NOT select the two checkboxes on the left-hand side, as this option will update all your Matters.

  8. Select Edit
  9. Update the field "Matter number" with the new name of your Matter.
