Why Is There A Transition Period With A Migration?

Objective:

  • Why do I have to wait to use my Clio account when Migrating?
  • Can I start using Clio straight away if I get a Migration

Environment:

  • Clio Manage

Additional Information:

Transition periods can take longer depending on the volume of data, but also the complexity of the software you are migrating from.

Answer:

There is a transition period from your previous practice management to Clio is because the Migrations team needs time to process the data from your previous software into a version that Clio will accept.

This period is also to ensure that any data we are capable of migrating is imported to Clio correctly. Clio's standard transition period from the moment we receive the data, is 5-7 business days.
