Question:
- Difference in Subscriber Types
- Attorney vs Non-Attorney
- What is the difference between an Attorney subscription and a Non Attorney subscription
- Non-Attorney pricing
Environment:
- Clio Manage
Additional Information:
For our current Pricing Plan options, there is no difference in pricing between Attorney and Non-attorney Clio licenses.
Clio pricing is based solely on the number of active user licenses on the account.
Answer:
In regards to default permission levels, there is very little difference between "Attorney" and "Non-attorney" users - instead, Permissions are granted on a per-user basis. The distinction is for your own labeling and tracking purposes.
Note that users designated as "Non-Attorney" will not appear and thus cannot be selected in the Responsible Attorney dropdown menu within a Matter. For Example, if you as a paralegal in your paralegal firm, are not designated as an "Attorney" in your User Profile you will not be able to own Matters in Clio.
