Blank Practice Areas can occur when Matters are imported in to Clio from other practice management software. If the other program uses Practice Areas that do not exist in Clio, then Clio will create blank ones to as a way to accommodate the mismatched data. The result is that the blank Practice Areas are related to a Mater, but cannot be deleted because you cannot determine which Matters they belong to.
