Can I Set Up a One Way Contact Sync with Google?

Objective:

  • Can I sync Clio Contacts to Google but not Google Contacts to Clio?

Environment:

  • Clio Web App
  • Google Contacts & Calendars

Additional Information:

You could set up a second Google account for the Clio contact sync—this second Google account will contain only your Clio contacts. You could then log in to both Google accounts from your phone etc. to view your personal contacts and Clio contacts.

While adding or editing contacts will sync bi-directionally, deleting a contact in Office 365 or Google will not delete the contact in Clio Manage. This is to ensure that contacts are not deleted from Clio that may be associated to matters, bills, or transactions. If you modify the contact in Clio Manage, it will not be re-synced back to Office 365 or Google unless you disable and then re-enable your Contact sync.

Answer:

No, Clio's sync with Google Contacts is a two-way sync.
