I'm Attempting to Remove the Remittance Note for Bills and Statements of Accounts But The Default Text Keeps Re-Populating

Issue:

The Remittance Note for Bills and the Remittance Note for Statements of Account fields cannot be blank.

Environment:

  • Clio Web App
  • Bill Themes

Cause:

The Remittance Note for Bills and the Remittance Note for Statements of Account are designed to have characters in the field. If you'd like to include Remittance Slip information on your Bill Theme these fields cannot be completely blank.

Resolution:

  1. Navigate to the fields in question within the Bill Theme
  2. Remove the default text
  3. Replace it with one of the following options:
    1. Alternative text to the default 
    2. Type a Space in the field and then a Return/Enter
  4. Save the Bill Theme
