How Do I Correct the Matter on a Logged Email or Phone Record?


  • A way to move an Email or Phone Log from an incorrect Matter to a correct Matter

Additional Information:

  • An Email Log or Phone Log must first have been filed to an incorrect Matter
  • If there is a Time Entry associated with the Communication, you will have to edit the Time Entry as well. For more information on how to edit a Time Entry, please visit here.


  1. Navigate to the main Communications or Matter Communications page
  2. From Logs, click on Phone or Email 
  3. Locate the incorrectly filed Phone or Email log
  4. Click Edit in the Actions column
  5. Delete the data within the Matter field
  6. Type in the correct Matter number and Save the log
