KCS - Clio Sync Error: "Server Execution Failed" When Syncing Outlook Desktop

Issue:

  • "Server Execution Failed" message when attempting to Synchronize with the Clio Sync Setup application
  • User receives an error message when they attempt to run the sync

Environment:

  • Clio Web App
  • Clio Sync for Outlook

Additional Information:

These steps will often need to be completed by the firms IT

Resolution:

  1. Attempt to run Outlook Desktop Sync as an Administrator
  2. Run ScanPST
  3. Ensure the appropriate Ports and Whitelist options are set (see here)
  4. Verify that the expected Outlook Data File is set as the default Outlook Data File (see here)
  5. If none of the above troubleshooting steps resolve this issue, contact our Support team
