Why Does the Date Change on My Activities When Generating a Bill?

  • The date can be changed once the Bill has been generated, by following these steps.

Answer:

When you are generating a Bill from the billable client page (found by clicking the New bills button towards the top right corner of the Billing tab), you are given the option to choose "Activity Summary" for the Detail level. Choosing this option will combine all Time Entries with the same Activity Category into one line item on the Bill. When this is done, the date for this line item will be the date the Bill is generated.
