KCS - Why am I Seeing Multiple Bills with the Same Invoice Number?

Objective:

  • I am seeing multiple Bills with the same numbers, but different versions
  • Several Bills with the same ID number

Environment:

  • Clio Web App

Answer:

If you choose to Void or Delete a Bill in Clio, that number will then be automatically be reused if you are to generate another Bill right after. This means, you may see more than one Bill with the same ID, though the other versions of that Bill cannot be paid and are just there as a reference.
