How do I Change a Time Entry to a Product Line Item on a Bill?

If the Bill has already been approved and you are unable to edit it you will need to update your Settings: How to Allow Editing of Approved Bills

If you have already sent a bill to the client for the incorrect balance you can resend the bill by following the steps in this article on How to Re-Share a Bill with a Client .


  1. Locate the Bill
  2. Click on Edit
  3. Locate the line item that you wish to edit
  4. Click into the Type column for that entry (where it currently says "Service")
  5. Select Product from the dropdown menu
  6. Update any other line items, as needed
  7. Click Save invoice
