Unable to Export Matters from Clio Grow to Clio Manage

Issue:

  • Exporting Matter data to Clio from Lexicata 
  • Error 401 when exporting a case to Clio Manage
  • Error 400 when exporting a case to Clio Manage
  • Error 422 when exporting a matter to Clio Manage
  • We're sorry, this matter is unable to be exported at this time. Clio Manage responded with ClioClient::BadRequest

Environment:

  • Clio Grow
  • Clio Manage

Additional Information:

Cause:

One cause for this error is if custom fields have changed and you haven't synced them between Clio Manage and Clio Grow.

Resolution:

First, try disconnecting and reconnecting the sync between Clio Grow and Clio Manage. To do so:

  1. In Clio Grow, Click Settings 
  2. Click Integrations 
  3. Click Disconnect next to the Clio integration
  4. Click Integrations again 
  5. Click Connect next to the Clio integration
  6. Click Allow Access

Then, re-sync your custom fields. To do so:

  1. In Clio Grow, Click Settings
  2. Click Custom Fields
  3. Click Sync Clio Manage Custom Fields
