Why Can I Not Use an Email as Alias

Objective:

  • When entering an email as Alias, Clio provides an error.

  • Clio Manage

Answer:

If the email is already used for an Account or Clio Connect Account, Clio would not allow you to save it as an alias. 

If the email address is already associated with either a User or a contact with a Clio Connect account, it does not need to be added to the list of Maildrop Aliases since their email is already designated as a "safe email address".
