Case Number Text (One-Line)
Used to track the case number assigned by the court to the matter. These are usually a mix of alphanumeric characters. Ex. 2:14-cv-02643
Opposing Counsel Contact Select
Hyperlink to the Contact card for the lawyer representing the other side. Important to have quick access to this, as most communication would happen between lawyers only.
Judge Contact Select
Hyperlink to the Contact card for the judge or magister before whom the matter is being heard.
Court Contact Select
Hyperlink to the company Contact card for the court hearing the matter.
Circuit Picklist
Listing of court districts in which the case is being heard. Suggested entries: the numbers 1-11.
Filing Date Date
Date on which the notice of action was filed with the court's clerk.
Date of Incident Date
Date on which the events at issue occurred.
Next Court Date Date
The next date where the lawyer needs to be in court.
Insurance Claim Number Text (One-Line)
Claim number used by the insurance company associated with the case.
Conflict Check Checkbox
Has a conflict check been done on the parties in this matter?
Contingency Checkbox
Is this matter being compensated by contingency fees. Yes/No
Retainer Money
Money that has been submitted to the lawyer as advanced fees. This will also be tracked in the trust account ledger for this matter and client.
Referral Source Contact Select
Hyperlink to the Contact card for the chosen contact that referred the case to the customer.
Special Notes Text (Multi-Line)
Place to put special notes for the matter that need to be top of mind.
