Case Number Text (One-Line)
Used to track the case number assigned by the court to the matter. These are usually a mix of alphanumeric characters. Ex. 2:14-cv-02643
Opposing Counsel Contact Select
Hyperlink to the Contact card for the lawyer representing the other side. Important to have quick access to this, as most communication would happen between lawyers only.
Employer Identification Number Text (One-Line)
An Employer Identification Number (EIN) is also known as a Federal Tax Identification Number, and is used to identify a business entity. An EIN is usually written in the form 00-0000000.
Primary Contact Contact Select
The primary contact at the corporation who is the client or opposing party.
Shareholders Text (Multi-Line)
List the shareholders for small corporations.
Conflict Check Checkbox
Has a conflict check been done on the parties in this matter?
Communication Preference Picklist
Note on how to contact the client. Suggestions: Home Phone, Mobile Phone, Work Phone, Email.
Originating Attorney Contact Select
Which attorney gets credit for bringing the case to the law firm. This field is only important for firms with more than one lawyer.
Referral Source Contact Select
Hyperlink to the Contact card for the chosen contact that referred the case to the customer.
Special Notes Text (Multi-Line)
Place to put special notes for the matter that need to be top of mind.
