How to Stop Calendar or Contact Sync for a Deactivated User

Objective:

  • I want to stop a deactivated User's calendar from syncing

Environment:

  • Clio Manage
  • Google
  • Office 365

Additional Information:

  • Please note, you currently cannot change the owner of a Calendar in Clio. If you would like to add your vote to this Feature Request, please contact our Support Team.

Answer:

  1. Go to Settings and reactivate the User
    • How to Enable a Past User
    • You may need to deactivate another User temporarily, to free up a license, if one is not currently available. Otherwise, you will need to add an additional User to the account in which you will be charged for according to your subscription billing cycle (monthly or annually). 
  2. Change the email address of the User to an email address you have access to
  3. Reset the User's password
  4. Log in as them and disconnect the sync/make changes to Calendar permissions
  5. Deactivate the User and reactivate the User you temporarily deactivated in the first step
