New Time Entries Use Default Rate Instead of Client Rate

Issue:

  • New time entries created with a Client rate were defaulting to the User Default Rate instead.

Environment:

  • Clio Manage

Cause:

As of yet unknown.

Resolution:

  1. Go to the Contact page in question
  2. Edit Contact 
  3. Scroll down to Billing Preferences
  4. Remove User Rate in question
  5. Save Contact
  6. Edit the same Contact again
  7. Choose Firm user or group from the drop-down menu for the current billing rate
  8. Add User Rate back
  9. Save Contact
  10. Try adding your time entries again, it should now use the Contact rate
