What Is a Contact Type?

Objective:

  • How can I more easily sort my contacts?

Environment:

  • Clio Grow

Additional Information:

Contact types help you sort through your contacts more easily by grouping contacts into different categories

Answer:

A contact type is a way for you to designate a specific person that you've added as a contact in Clio Grow. Your account has four default categories: Lead, Client, Unassigned, and Did Not Hire. You can add additional types so you can sort through your many contacts more easy. Ideal contact types may be: Referral Source, Professional Relationship, Attorney, Financial Advisor, etc. Adding additional types can be very useful when you have a large number of contacts and need to locate an individual quickly.
