Why Can't I View a Matter From the Billing/New Bills Page?

Objective:

  • Unable to Access Matter I can see in Billing/Billable Clients/New Bills
  • Error when Clicking on Matter name:  "Unable to view matter. You either don't have access to this matter or it doesn't exist."

Environment:

  • Clio Manage

Additional Information:

  • Some firms would like Users to be able to Generate Bill's, but not have access to the Matter. We have decided to enable this workflow. 

Answer:

The Matter permissions are set to a different User/Group that you are not a part of. To fix this, another User who has access to the Matter, will need to change the Matter permissions to include you.
