Why Do My Expenses Have a "Record as Disbursement" Checkbox?

Objective:

  • Why can't I see Hard and Soft cost expenses?

Environment:

  • Clio Manage

Additional Information:

  • This change is made to fall more in line with the terminology used in the UK and internationally
  • To set your Locale, see here

Answer:

When a user sets their Locale to "English (United Kingdom)", Hard and Soft Costs will display as a "Record as disbursement" checkbox: 

  • If the box is checked the Expense will be saved as a Hard Cost
  • if the box is un-checked the Expense will be saved as a Soft Cost
