Unable to Reset Password After Logging in and Prompted to Enter a New Strong Password

Issue:

"Update your password: Your administrator requires a strong password for users of the Clio account." 

Environment:

  • Clio Manage

Additional Information:

Cause:

  • When an Administrator of a firm enables Strong Passwords (see here), each user in the account will be prompted to enter a valid, strong password after they log into Clio for the first time after the Strong Passwords setting was changed.
  • In the new password selection it is currently not possible to trigger a password reset, or to log out of Clio. 

Workaround:

Either:
  1. Clear your cookies (see here)

    or

  2. Open an Incognito window (or another browser), and trigger a password reset (see here)
