How Do I Edit the Client Reference Number that Appears on Bills?

Objective:

  • Edit Client Reference Number
  • Change the Client Reference that appears on the invoice
  • Modify Client Reference Number on Bill

Environment:

  • Clio Manage

Additional Information:

"Client Reference Number" is actually a Matter-level field, and needs to be entered for each Matter, even if they have the same Client.

Procedure:

  1. Navigate to the Matter 
  2. Click Edit
  3. "Client Reference Number" should be a default field within the first section.
