How do I Clear Saved (Auto-Fill) Passwords in Microsoft Edge

Objective:

  • Remove saved passwords in Edge
  • Delete autofill username and password
  • Clear autofill in Microsoft Edge

Environment:

  • Clio Manage
  • Microsoft Edge

Procedure:

If you want to remove ALL of your autofill suggestions from Microsoft's Edge browser:

Method 1

  1. In the Chromium-based Edge browser, type edge://settings/passwords in the address bar and then press the Enter key to open the passwords page.
  2. As you can see in the picture below, the page displays all saved passwords. To delete a password, click on the three dots next to the password and then click the Delete option.

Method 2 (Legacy Edge Browser)

  1. Open "Settings" by clicking on the three dots icon and selecting it from the menu.
  2. Scroll down to "Clear Browsing Data" and select "Choose What to Clear."
  3. Select "Form Data" and click the "Clear" button.


If you want to clear individual passwords from the Legacy Edge browser:

  1. Open Microsoft Edge and click the three dots in the top right corner.

  2. Click on Settings.

  3. Scroll down and click on View advanced settings.

  4. Scroll down to Autofill settings and click on Manage passwords.

  5. Here you can see all logins Edge has saved sand Remove the ones you do not wish to have

If you want to clear passwords from the Autocomplete: 

  1. Select Settings
  2. Select more
  3. Select Settings
  4. Select Passwords and autocomplete
  5. Toggle Save passwords to Disabled
