Error When Client Pays Bills Using Clio Payments: "Payment failed to process. Merchant transaction daily amount exceeded. Payment failed to process something went wrong."

Answer:

The error means one of the following:

  1. Client's daily credit card transaction limit has been exceeded
  2. Client's single transaction limit has been exceeded
  3. Client's available balance has been exceeded

Please have the client contact their credit card provider to adjust their limit or send the client two bills separately, so they can make two smaller payments instead of a single large payment.
