How Do I Add Tables to a Form in Clio Grow?

Objective:

  • How do I add a Table Field to a Form in Clio Grow

Environment:

  • Clio Grow

Procedure:

Tables are not a feature currently available in Clio Grow's Form Templates. If you wish to request for this feature, please let our Support Team know. You can reach the Support Team by phone (1-888-858-2546 ext 2) or by the Live Chat option in Clio.

Additional Information:

In the absence of tables, our current workaround is to create a series of Yes/No questions with corresponding followup questions. Yes/No questions have the option to create multiple followup input fields.  By clicking the "add followup" button, we can create additional input fields that imitates a table's input fields.   Please see below for an example.

Example:

Above is an example of a standard hand-written table.  At this time, there are no tables in Clio Grow.  However, we can create workarounds using Yes/No questions. As mentioned earlier, "Yes/No" questions allow for multiple input fields.  A single "Yes/No" question could capture data for numerous data fields like a table. In the below example, there are input fields for a Child's Name, Date of Birth, Social Security Number and Gender.

In order to recreate this example, please use the following steps:

  1. Create a Yes/No Question
  2. Label the Yes/No Question as "Child 1"
  3. Click Add Followup 4 Times
  4. In Each Followup Field Add
    • Name
    • Date of Birth
    • Social Security Number
    • Gender
  5. Click Save Question
  6. For "Child 1," Click Duplicate Question
  7. Rename the New Duplicate Question as "Child 2"
  8. Click Save Question
  9. Repeat as Necessary
