We’re making some security enhancements for your Clio account!
With the evolution of Clio from a single product to a suite of software solutions, we want to prioritize accessibility, security, and overall ease of use as you work between Clio applications.
What changes you’ll see
Introducing My Account and Single Sign-On.
Starting in September 2020, we will introduce My Account; this will house your user security setting options, including the option to turn on two-factor authentication (2FA).
My Account will also have updated password criteria to ensure all users are employing strong passwords. Passwords will need to be at least 8 characters in length and with be compared to a database of ~500,000 weak and commonly used passwords. Users employing any of those compromised passwords will be required to update their password.
We’re also building a Single Sign-On functionality, which will enable you to securely access—and work between—all of your Clio products while using a single username and password. We will be enabling Clio Manage and Grow users with matching email logins for Single Sign On over the month of October 2020.

Password expiration policies—which require you to change your password every X days—are no longer considered a security best practice.
As such, once we introduce My Account we will discontinue support for the existing password expiration functionality. There is no action required on your part, but we strongly recommend enabling two-factor authentication for enhanced account security.
