We have released a new, on-demand course in Clio Academy that is pre-approved by the Florida Bar for 1 hour of technology or general CLE credit. This online course is best suited for lawyers who are considering and researching whether to use cloud technology and cloud-based practice management software at their law firm.
This course is free for anyone to enroll in and will require you to pass a short quiz in order to successfully complete the course.
What is the course about?
With cloud technology, lawyers have greater power to control their work/life balance, cut costs, and deliver better services to their clients. The catch is that lawyers must now extend their traditional duties of competency and confidentiality into these new tools. But how can they do so in a safe and ethical way? This course will explore this question while providing lawyers with the tools to decide whether cloud technology is appropriate for their law firm.
In this course, you’ll learn:
- What is the cloud?
- The benefits and risks of cloud technology
- Cloud concerns that are specific to legal professionals
- What you should look for when selecting a cloud vendor
