How do I Sign a Document Before Sending it to The Client For Signature in Clio Manage?

Question:

  • User signature
  • attorney signature

Environment:

  • Clio Grow
  • Clio Manage

Additional Information:

  • This method also works in Clio Grow once you get to the HelloSign Modal. More information on how to get to the HelloSign Modal in Clio Grow can be found here.

Answer:

  1. Go to Documents
  2. Click e-Sign under the desired PDF document
  3. Select the signers for the document (must be existing Contacts)
  4. Click Prepare for signing
  5. Click Signature on the left hand side and drag and drop where you would like the signature placeholder to go
  6. On the right hand side under the Assigned To dropdown, click Me (Now)
  7. Add your signature, click Insert
  8. Click Signature again to add a box for the contact’s signature
  9. Click the Contact’s Name in the Assigned To dropdown
  10. Repeat Steps 8 & 9 for all additional contacts
  11. Click Continue
  12. Optional: add a message
  13. Click Request signature
