How to Add a Running Balance to a Bill?

Objective:

  • How do I add a previous balance to a bill?
  • How do I add an existing client balance from a previous software into Clio?

Environment:

  • Clio Manage

Procedure:

A running balance would be considered as a Time Entry in Clio Manage. 

To record a running balance for a Matter, create a Time Entry with the quantity set to 1.0 and the rate set to the amount outstanding. From there, you are able to bill the Activity.
