When Would a Clio For Clients Invite Link Become Invalid?

Question:

  • Unable to access Clio for Clients
  • Invalid link error with Clio for Clients
  • "This link has expired" error when creating a Clio for Clients account

Answer:

For security reasons, Clio for Clients invite links expire after 1 hour. Users can request a new link from inside the application, or re-send the invitation email as follows:

  1. Re-launch Clio for Clients
  2. Enter your email address
  3. Click on Continue
  4. Check your email and proceed with the additional instructions

If the above process isn't working, ask the User to contact Firm to resend the invite as the link might have expired. The link will also show as Expired if the Client has been removed from the Client Portal by the Attorney.
