Why Is My Secure Payment Not Linking to the Correct Contact?

Objective:

  • Why is my Secure Payment not linking to the correct Contact?
  • Why does the Secure Payment not update to the correct client?
  • I have two Contacts with the same name, why does my Secure Payment not link to the correct Contact?

Answer:

The Secure Payment may be linked to a deleted Contact, first have an Admin check the Recovery Bin for the Contact and recover it. After it is recovered we suggest editing the recovered Contact's name to easily distinguish such as adding 1 to the name.

Afterwards edit the Secure Payment to be associated to the recovered Contact then edit it once more to the correct Contact. Checking the Transaction of the correct Contact there should be the Clio Payment applied. Once confirmed you can delete the Contact once more.
