Why Does the Fillable PDF I Shared/Downloaded Have Information Already Filled?

Additional Information:

  • The PDF in question is a fillable PDF. It appears that information is filled in already, but will show as blank depending on the program being used to view the document. On Safari on iPhone and macOS, and in Apple's Preview, the hidden information is being shown. In Chrome it shows as blanks. 

Answer:

Depending on the software that you use and the PDF file in question, it may or may not obscure information that has already been filled. Double-check the PDF with another application to make sure that there are no pre-populated information on the PDF.
