Receiving Client ID Error when Uploading LEDES Bill to Legal Exchange

  • What to do when getting error uploading LEDES file to Legal Exchange.

  • Clio Manage

Answer:

This is due to the Client ID in Clio not matching with the Client ID in Legal Exchange.

To fix this:

  1. Find and copy the Client ID number listed within the Error Log in the Logs tab within Legal Exchange. 
  2. In Legal Exchange go to Firm Info > Client ID  > Client Name and then Edit.
  3. Find the Client from the dropdown and input the Client ID number from the error log ie. 1503661034 and click Save.
  4. Try re-uploading the LEDES file to Legal Exchange.
