Will Clients Get Email Notifications When They are Added as Participants on the Client Portal?

Question:

  • Do contacts receive an email notification whenever a firm user adds them as a participant to a Clio Portal?

Answer:

No.

Clients only receive an invitation email when something is shared with them for the first time, like a message. After adding the client as a participant, you would need to send them a message for them to receive the invite email. 

All subsequent messages and document shares will trigger a notification email to the contact participants in the client portal
