Why Does My Company Contact Synced from O365 to Clio Have No Information?

Objective:

  • Company Contact from O365 to Clio has blank information
  • Why does the Company Contact created through the O365 to Clio sync have no information?
  • Will my Company Contact created by the O365 contact sync have information

Environment:

  • Clio Manage
  • Office 365

Answer:

This is intended behaviour from the O365 Contact Sync. When a Company Contact is created through the O365 Contact sync it will have no contact information other than the name as the system cannot determine the correct information.

The Company Contact is named from the Company Field on the O365 Contact. A Person Contact will also be created and it'll use the First name and Last name fields entered on O365, this contact will have the correct information such as address, phone number, etc. If you need to update the Company Contact created through the O365 sync you will need to do this manually in Clio.
