Why is my Expense Category Not Populating?

Question:

  • Why can I not see the Expense Categories that other people in my firm create?
  • Where are all of my firm's Expense Categories in the dropdown menu of the Activities creation page and why can't I use them?
  • Why can't I use an Expense Category that another User created?

  • Clio Manage

Answer:

When Expense Categories are created or edited, a Group or Groups must be assigned to dictate which Users in the firm can use them.

If you do not see a certain Expense Category that another User in the firm has created, it is likely because your User Profile is not included in the Group or Groups set for that category.
